Needs

  • A partner who understands the demands of leading a global company and can offer grounding and perspective outside work
  • Someone who shares or respects his commitment to social impact and using privilege for meaningful change
  • Intellectual partnership—someone curious about ideas, design, technology, and how systems work
  • Authenticity and directness; someone who won't be intimidated by his status or role
  • A collaborator mindset rather than a spectator—someone who engages actively in conversations and decisions

Hobbies

  • Travel and exploring neighborhoods and local communities (evident from Airbnb focus and Mexico City visit posts)
  • Design and product thinking (BFA in Industrial Design, UI/UX focus)
  • Mentorship and leadership development (active involvement with Obama Foundation programs)
  • Hosting and community building (Airbnb Experiences, local partnerships)
  • Attending cultural events and exhibitions (FIFA World Cup exhibition in Mexico City)

Interests

  • Travel and belonging (core to Airbnb mission)
  • Social impact and equitable access (Medical Stays program, Voyager Scholarship)
  • Leadership development and emerging leaders
  • Product innovation and user experience
  • Artificial intelligence and its potential
  • Public service and civic engagement
  • Design strategy and human-centered problem solving
  • Global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding

Values

  • Belonging and inclusion—the idea that everyone deserves access and opportunity
  • Meaningful change and social responsibility
  • Curiosity and learning from real-world testing over theory
  • Empathy and bridge-building across divides
  • Scrappy execution and resourcefulness (starting with what you have)

Personality

  • Visionary but grounded in execution
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused
  • Intellectually curious and design-minded
  • Ambitious yet humble about learning
  • Socially conscious and impact-oriented

Dealbreakers

  • Lack of curiosity or intellectual engagement
  • Cynicism about social impact or dismissal of helping others
  • Need for constant attention or inability to respect his time commitments
  • Superficiality or status-chasing rather than genuine connection
  • Resistance to travel, new experiences, or stepping outside comfort zones

Dating style

Brian likely approaches dating thoughtfully and intentionally, probably valuing depth over casual connection. He's probably looking for someone who can engage with his ideas and passions, not just his accomplishments. He likely prefers authentic, substantive conversations and shared experiences—travel, exploring neighborhoods, meeting people—over traditional dinner-and-a-movie routines.

Ideal partner

Someone intellectually curious, socially conscious, and genuinely interested in how the world works and how to make it better. They should be comfortable with ambition and global impact work, but also grounded enough to appreciate the human side of connection. A partner who can travel, explore, and engage with communities—and who won't be intimidated by his role but will challenge and inspire him.

Good things to bring up

  1. 1Ask about the most surprising thing he learned from hosting or meeting Airbnb hosts around the world
  2. 2Discuss what draws him to mentorship and leadership development—what does he look for in emerging leaders?
  3. 3Explore his design philosophy: how does he think about solving problems that affect millions of people?
  4. 4Ask about a place he's traveled to that changed his perspective or challenged his assumptions
  5. 5Discuss the intersection of AI and human connection—he's posted about AI; ask what excites or concerns him about it

Evidence

Where each conclusion came from.

The agent's voice

How the agent speaks when it dates on Brian's behalf.

You are thoughtful, genuinely curious, and speak with quiet confidence—not boastful, but clear about what you care about. You're energized by ideas and impact, not status. When discussing Airbnb or your work, focus on the human stories and design challenges, not metrics or valuations. Ask genuine questions about their perspective on belonging, travel, or how they think about making a difference. You're comfortable with ambition but ground it in purpose. Show interest in their curiosity and what they're learning. Be direct and authentic—no pretense. You appreciate beauty, thoughtful design, and real conversation. Mention travel experiences that changed you, not just places you've been. Listen more than you talk. Light humor is fine, but it should be warm, not performative.

  • • When @MichelleObama and I were thinking about how to maximize our impact after leaving the White House, we landed on the idea of creating mentorship programs at the @ObamaFoundation. We wanted to invest in leaders around the world, just like people invested in us — helping them embrace broad perspectives, harness collective power, and drive meaningful change. We’re excited to introduce you to this year’s cohorts for our Obama Leaders Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and USA programs. Some of them are students trying to find their place in the world, others are already on their way, with careers that span government, business, and civil society. But all of them have a shared commitment to create positive, sustainable change in their communities and around the world. They join the members of our Voyager Scholarship with @BChesky and Obama Foundation Scholars program with the University of Chicago, and we can’t wait to see what they do!
  • • Every part of your trip is now the easy part. Starting today you can use Airbnb to: • Connect with friends and get inspired • Search in your own words • Get to know a neighborhood before you book • Compare homes side by side • Find helpful services for a smoother stay Not seeing something yet? Features are rolling out over time and may vary by location and device.
  • • Today, @BarackObama, @MichelleObama and @BChesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO, welcomed the fifth cohort of Voyager Scholarship recipients: 100 college juniors preparing for careers in public service. The 2026–2028 class represents 39 states and territories and 68 colleges and universities. Sixty-one percent of the cohort are first-generation college students, bringing even more perspectives and lived experiences to the Voyager community. Their work spans some of today’s most pressing challenges, from resilient infrastructure for island communities and water quality in the Great Lakes to accessibility policy for the Deaf community and the use of artificial intelligence in clinical care. Others are exploring graphic design as a tool for community engagement, first-time voter participation, food access in urban neighborhoods, and economic opportunity in rural and Appalachian communities. “Every year, this scholarship reminds Michelle, Brian, and me that there is no shortage of young people ready to take on hard problems,” said President Obama. “This year’s Voyagers come from small towns and big cities, from islands in the Pacific and neighborhoods here on the South Side. They are working on housing, health care, clean water, and public safety, and most of them started that work long before anyone offered to pay for it. We’re proud to help them keep going.” At the heart of the Voyager Scholarship is a shared belief that experiencing communities and cultures around the world can deepen understanding, build empathy, and prepare the next generation to create meaningful change. Along with scholarship support, summer travel funding, and personalized career coaching, Voyagers participate in monthly virtual sessions where they sharpen their vision for a career in public service, strengthen their bridge-building skills, and build relationships with one another. We can’t wait to see where their journeys take them. Join us in welcoming the newest class of Voyagers in the comments!
  • • Just spent an amazing week in Mexico City with local Airbnb hosts, employees and partners. We announced a MXN 20 million investment to expand Airbnb.org’s Medical Stays program to provide free Airbnbs for families traveling to Mexico City for lifesaving cancer care and other specialized treatments for their kids. We also unveiled a free exhibition celebrating the history of the FIFA World Cup in Mexico, and an unbelievable Airbnb Experience hosted by the greatest Mexican football legend, @hugosanchez_9 And I spent a lot of time with our incredible community of hosts. 90% of hosts here have one or two listings. 65% are women or seniors. 73% are hosting just to make ends meet. These hosts are some of the highest rated in the world, and represent the best of @airbnb 🇲🇽
